Code of Conduct and Sportsmanship Agreement

Raptors Athletics is committed to "Honoring the Game." We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for unsportsmanlike behavior, including the verbal abuse of officials, taunting, or aggression.

  • The 24-Hour Rule: To maintain a productive environment, parents/guardians must wait 24 hours after a game or practice before contacting a coach to discuss playing time or competitive concerns.
  • Consequences: Violations of this code may result in removal from the program without a refund.
  • League Fines:  If the AYL (or any governing authority) accesses a fine to Raptors Athletics due to the actions of a player or their guests/family members, the registering family is required to reimburse Raptors Athletics for the fee immediately.

Waiver and Release of Liability / Indemnification

Participation in athletic programs involves inherent risks, including the potential for serious injury. While Raptors Athletics prioritizes safety through rules and equipment, these risks cannot be fully eliminated.

  • Assumption of Risk: Upon registration, you knowingly and freely assume all risks associated with participation, both known and unknown, and take full responsibility for your child’s involvement.
  • Release of Liability: Upon registration, you hereby release and hold harmless Raptors Athletics, its officers, sponsors, coaches, and land owners from any and all claims for injury, disability, death, or property damage, even if arising from the negligence of the releasees, to the fullest extent permitted by law.   

Medical Consent and Release

Upon registration, you certify that your child is in good physical health and capable of strenuous activity.

  • Emergency Care: In the event of illness or injury when a parent/guardian is unavailable, upon registration, you authorize Raptors Athletics staff to seek medical treatment from licensed professionals.
  • Financial Responsibility: Upon registration, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for all medical costs incurred. Raptors Athletics does not provide medical insurance for participants.

Social Media and Media Release

Upon registration, you grant Raptors Athletics permission to use your child’s likeness (photos, video, or audio) for promotional and marketing purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, our website, social media channels, and printed materials. You waive the right to inspect the final product or receive financial compensation for the use of these materials.

Refund and Attendance Policy

  • Refunds: All registration fees, administrative fees, and uniform costs are non-refundable once submitted, regardless of injury, relocation, or change of mind.
  • Attendance: Consistent attendance is vital for team success. Unexcused absences may result in reduced playing time or removal from the roster.
